In July 2018, 9 HKU students joined the Singapore Career Exploration Programme 2018: Business, Innovation and Technology cum Project-based Internship organized by BestTop Consulting Pte Ltd. Students had gained deeper understanding on different business topics through the company visits, training workshops and networking with mentors. They also got the chance to work in a company in Singapore through the 1-week project-based internship.

In June 2018, 13 HKU students joined the Japan Career Exploration Programme 2018 organized by Globe-Trotter T&E Ltd. By visiting over 20 sizable and well-known Japanese corporations, working on project presentation for companies’ business topics and attending networking sessions with corporate representatives, students had explored a lot about the career market and working culture in Japan. In Summer 2018, Chui Ka Hei (BBA) joined the internship programme in Center for Global Human Resource Development, Rikkyo University. Located in Tokyo, Japan, this private university is famous of its internationalization of education. Chui Ka Hei not only assisted in organizing the Rikkyo Global Leadership programme for local and international students, she also helped to conduct training sessions for junior university staff. 19 HKU students had joined the Cross Cultural Internship Program (CCIP) in New York City in summer 2018 through Fusia Communications, Inc. Students were able to gain real work experience in 10 host organizations from civil service, accounting, engineering and other business sectors.

Organized by HKUYA Student Exchange Network, “New Youth” Series Summer Internship Programme 2018 provided internship opportunities from more than 16 leading firms and government bodies in Beijing, Shanghai and Harbin. In July 2018, the programme attracted 16 HKU students to join for positions in commercial sector, as well as cultural and museum organizations.

In summer 2018, the 8-week Shanghai-Hong Kong Future Leaders Internship Program offered internship opportunities to 26 HKU students in Shanghai. Students had gained valuable work experience in leading firms of consultancy, marketing, legal services and financial sectors. The programme also arranged CEO talks and various visits to local organizations to strengthen students’ understanding on Shanghai’s business environment.
